Presence in Pain is a gentle 90-minute workshop for those living with ongoing aches and pains. It offers a space to slow down, reconnect with the body, and explore how awareness and presence can soften the experience of pain.
Blending simple practices, reflection, and shared experience, the workshop invites a more compassionate and empowered relationship with pain.
An invitation to slow down, listen, and meet your experience in a different way.
What to Expect
We will begin with a shared discussion about “What is pain?”. From the scientific definition to the spiritual and philosophical meanings, pain is complex, and often very personal, so we look to bridge the gap of understanding by offering a space for communal sharing around the topic and experience of pain.
From there we will explore light somatic practices to support mind-body connection and nervous system regulation, as well as engage in short reflection and meditation practices, while bringing awareness to changes in our pain.
These methods are designed to support you in building trust in your body and to shine a light on the power of attention when it comes to healing and living with persistent pain.
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing for light movement practices and to bring along a journal for moments of personal reflection, as you will be prompted throughout to write down your personal insights.
