108 Sun Salutations for Summer Solstice w/ Anita

  • Dharma Studios Neukölln 98 Kienitzer Straße Berlin, BE, 12049 Germany (map)

Let’s open the summer season together!

108 Sun Salutations are often practiced during seasonal transitions such as the equinoxes or solstices, symbolizing renewal, balance, and transformation. The number 108 carries sacred significance across yoga and spiritual traditions, representing wholeness, completion, and alignment with natural cycles.

This is a special class centered on the traditional Ashtanga Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) performed 108 times dynamically, without pausing in Downward-Facing Dog. This practice is designed as both a physical challenge and a deeply meditative experience, inviting focus, endurance, and inner clarity.

This is more than a physical practice: it is an opportunity to reset, release, and reconnect through repetition, breath, and movement.

All levels welcome, though some prior familiarity with Sun Salutations is helpful.

About Anita

Anita has been teaching yoga for more than ten years. She finished her first yoga teacher training (200h) in Hungary, which focused on traditional Hatha yoga. Her second course (300h) was in India, where she focused on Ashtanga-based vinyasa yoga. She has also taken part in many workshops with different teachers, such as Laruga Glaser, Kino McGregor and Mark Stephens. Anita’s classes are dynamic and based on the Ashtanga-Vinyasa tradition. Anita also holds a PhD in electronic music, so you can expect a finely selected playlist in the background of her classes every Thursday and Tuesday at Dharma Studios Neukölln.
